It aims to provide the means for volunteers to reach an advanced level of knowledge and awareness in regards to the notion of volunteerism in the Palestinian society.
It was founded in 2017 and has a pivotal role to play with in Laylac center. The department is led by volunteers under supervision of expertise in the field of social work. It aims to provide the means for volunteers to reach an advanced level of knowledge and awareness in regards to the notion of volunteerism in the Palestinian society, it is origins and historical transitions in relation to the present. The department’s main task is to bring new volunteers to Laylac and provide them with a training course on the voluntary work in Palestine in general, and the way it is adopted by Laylac in particular. Moreover, the coordinators of this department work on filling applications for the new volunteers, updating their information and contacting them when it is needed. In short, the volunteers department is seen as the gate from which new volunteers will be welcomed and introduced to Laylac and the different departments and programs inside the center, as well as the philosophy and principles to which Laylac subscribes.
