The painting course started at Laylac center in 2010. The department has one class each week at the Laylac center with training of professional drawing exercises.
In 2016 the artist couldn’t continue with the members. But the team did not stop at that point and thought of solutions and possible alternatives. The artists were fairly professional and found that the talent they have must pass on to the other generations. The team came up with the idea of completing training courses provided by the members with the technical basics of the children with the tools available to us.
In 2016 also the team completed an exhibition (In Between) of 11 paintings in which they expressed the issue of prisoners in Israeli prisons as they were facing the hunger strike. A book was established containing the 11 paintings and it was written in 3 languages. After that in 2018 the team done another exhibition (In and out) of 27 paintings. The artists express the issue of Palestine in general and the situation that we live. It was combined with a rap band. This work was also completed and saved in a book and established in Arabic, English and French and have a CD.
